Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of K–8 classroom teaching experience, with a proven record of student success
  • Demonstrated teacher leadership experience (e.g., grade-level lead, instructional coach, or mentor teacher)
  • Strong track record of coaching teachers, leading PD sessions, conducting classroom observations, and using student data to drive academic growth
  • Experience working in or with at-risk student populations
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in technology and student data systems, including Excel and academic performance platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree in Education or Leadership preferred)
  • Consistent and reliable professional history, demonstrating longevity and commitment to prior schools or organizations
  • Commitment to the AMS mission of preparing students for college and lifelong success
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish-English)
  • Experience with ELL students
  • Background in middle school education and/or mathematics instruction

  • Analyzing student performance data
  • Driving instructional improvement to ensure all students meet or exceed grade-level expectations
  • Collaborating with the campus principal, academic coaches, and other school leaders
  • Upholding AMS’s rigorous academic standards
  • Fostering a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
