Requirements

  • Experience working in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry is highly preferred
  • 1 - 3 years experience working in Housekeeping, Maintenance or similar hospitality Operations position
  • Prior experience in supervisory or management level position in a similar industry
  • Tech-savvy with experience using various digital systems and applications and comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software platforms
  • Reliable personal transportation is essential due to frequent travel between worksites
  • Dependable and prepared, showing up on time and ready to go
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
  • Comfortable talking to people—online or in person—and able to share information in a clear, thoughtful way that represents the company positively

Responsibilities

  • Assist Housekeeping Manager in leading and developing a team of Housekeepers through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance management, including regular one-on-one meetings and annual evaluations
  • Oversee daily operations and workflow management to optimize team productivity and meet departmental objectives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements
  • Support the Housekeeping Manager in ensuring proper staffing and scheduling for maximum productivity
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes open communication, innovation, and employee engagement, addressing team conflicts constructively and timely
  • Assist in the recruiting process with interviewing, selection, and onboarding new team members while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations
  • Assist in controlling payroll costs to achieve maximum profitability
  • Communicate priorities to staff through daily and weekly meetings
  • Participate in daily operations including cleaning and inspecting of units to maintain standards
  • Identify and report any maintenance related problems to the Maintenance and/or local Operations team
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with fellow regional team members and upper management
  • Other duties as assigned
