Responsibilities

Design and execute engagement strategy to connect >70% of Jewish students at SDSU to Hillel’s mission
Supervise, mentor, and support growth of 2 staff members
Execute robust social media presence for Hillel of San Diego
Manage state-of-the-art facility for smooth operations supporting Jewish life
Maintain and balance program and operations budget for SDSU
Staff Shabbat and holiday programming, oversee logistics, and facilitate Jewish learning
Serve as thought partner with Executive Director and other campus directors
Build relationships with university staff and faculty for partnerships
Connect with students to increase involvement in Jewish life
Lead weekly staff meetings and 1:1 supervision
Support staff hiring process and training
Participate in ongoing Jewish learning and professional development
Help plan alternative breaks and Taglit-Birthright Israel, including pre- and post-trip programs
Oversee collection of engagement data with Hillel International
Handle facility logistics like external rentals and maintenance scheduling
