Requirements

  • Skills and experience in leading a security culture, including crisis response, safety environment, and crowd management
  • Ability to implement daily/weekly Assets Protection workload priorities to support business goals
  • Experience responding to external and internal theft incidents and preventing future theft
  • Capability to implement strategic resolutions of external theft and fraud, including apprehending individuals per Target policy
  • Skills in partnering, educating, and supporting store leaders on shortage priorities
  • Leadership skills for a team of hourly members, including interviewing, developing, evaluating, and retaining talent
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule aligning to guest and business needs, including early morning/overnight shifts, evenings, and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Support total store sales and profitability by ensuring products are in stock and available to guests
  • Welcome and engage guests at the front of the store and on the salesfloor
  • Influence and validate physical security and safety processes; participate in store response and emergency crisis situations; create security plans for in-store events
  • Support leader in educating teams on emergency preparedness and physical security procedures
  • Develop, coach, and lead team members to elevate their skills and expertise
  • Anticipate staffing needs and support leader in talent planning with accountability through clear expectations and performance management
  • Identify theft and shortage trends in the store
  • Identify shortage risks in key areas and support leaders to develop tactics to reduce shortage and drive sales
  • Develop team schedules and adjust based on security and theft trends with leader validation
  • Own the prevention (including merchandise protection budgeting), identification, and resolution of external theft incidents
