Responsibilities

  • Support total store sales, guest service, and profitability by preventing and resolving theft to ensure product availability
  • Resolve theft using good judgment and conducting apprehensions in shortage focus areas while adhering to AP policies and procedures
  • Identify theft trends using technology, reporting, and surveillance tactics
  • Prevent theft by gathering intelligence and communicating important issues
  • Understand and appropriately use video systems to monitor theft activity
  • Respond to security incidents and submit appropriate documentation following AP policies and procedures
  • Promote a physical security and safety culture by creating awareness and training safe standards throughout the building
  • Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences
  • Work safely at all times, comply with safety policies, report hazards, and correct where possible
  • Maintain positive relationships with public safety officials and law enforcement
  • Participate in legal proceedings as necessary to represent Target’s interests
  • Perform all other duties based on business needs
