Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, college, or military education program (OR high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in servicing biomedical equipment)
  • Five years or more of Biomedical Technology Leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact to the customer for timely and satisfactory resolution of concerns covering a wide variety of support services offered for assigned region, product, or coverage area
  • Establish and maintain contact to provide on-going technical and business support to assigned customers in designated geographic region or coverage area
  • Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline
  • Responsible for all resources and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property, including contribute to, maintain, repair, and refurbish sold or existing products; all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial); manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering
  • Hire and develop talent, including direct people management responsibility such as staffing and performance development
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy
  • Use knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; aware of the competition and differentiating factors
  • Use judgment and propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles; use technical experience and analytical thinking; use multiple internal and limited external sources for decisions
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements; explain information; develop skills to bring team members to consensus; convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues
  • Function with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results; modify procedures and practices as long as end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.)
