Requirements
- Studied or studying towards an Accounting / Finance diploma or degree (or equivalent work experience)
- Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
- Experience with ERP/Accounting software
- Proficient in Excel and Google Workspace
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Ability to think in a systematic fashion

Responsibilities
- Accurate allocation and reconciliation of student payments, including importing and posting bank transactions, reconciling cash accounts, and clearing all relevant process screens
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts
- Prepare and process account fixes
- Ensure student accounts are reconciled and cleared
- Accounts receivable completeness checks
- Assist with provisions calculations and journals at month end
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in preparing of month end and year end reports and schedules for management review
- Cash updates as needed
- Support audits by providing accounts receivable documentation and explanations
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
- Identify opportunities for process and efficiency improvements
- Respond to VAT related student queries and collaborate with student advisors to ensure finance related queries are resolved
- Training and mentoring of new team members
- Assisting with special projects or analysis requests as needed
