Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Aerospace, or related discipline (Master’s preferred)
  • 5+ years of aerospace quality engineering experience, with proven knowledge of AS9145 (APQP/PPAP) and AS9100
  • Hands-on experience with APQP core tools: FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and PPAP deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to lead supplier quality engagement and customer-facing quality processes
  • Strong skills in root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions (RCCA), and risk management
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage APQP activities in compliance with AS9145, including planning, execution, and continuous monitoring throughout the product lifecycle
  • Develop, review, and approve PPAP documentation (Control Plans, DFMEA, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, MSA, Capability Studies)
  • Support supplier readiness reviews and ensure manufacturing processes meet aerospace quality standards
  • Ensure quality processes meet the requirements of AS9100 and customer/regulatory standards
  • Conduct audits, reviews, and assessments to validate compliance with AS9145/AS9100 requirements
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions to eliminate defects and mitigate risks
  • Oversee hardware quality assurance across design, integration, and system-level testing
  • Establish and track quality metrics for AR hardware performance and reliability
  • Provide root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality escapes during prototype builds, lab integration, and field support
  • Partner with engineering teams to embed quality requirements early in product development
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure robust production processes and conformance to AS9145/AS9100
  • Act as a customer-facing quality representative for program reviews and audits
