Requirements

Familiarity with programming in R and actuarial techniques such as application of decrements, discounting, and derivation/comparison of present values
Strong proficiency in R programming language, data manipulation, and visualization, including tidyverse packages (R Markdown and/or R Shiny is a plus)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA experience is a plus)
Experience with SQL and databases is a plus
Well-organized, proactive, creative, and solution-oriented
Strong communication skills to present complex technical topics to non-technical audiences
Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken
Highly motivated with openness for continuous improvement
Solid knowledge of GAAP accounting standards
Prior experience with NA (cut off in description)

Responsibilities

Automating bordereaux compilation and generating reports on treaty performance
Expanding existing R frameworks for modelling and reporting
Conducting actuarial experience studies on mortality for client portfolios to improve internal modelling
Adopting new valuation software (R/PowerQuery/PowerBI)
Using results of experience studies to update actuarial projections for PartnerRe’s statutory accounting and economic reporting requirements
Working on the implementation of several projects
Supporting reporting activity in different metrics (LDTI US GAAP, FR GAAP, Solvency 2)
