  • Knowledge of spin-off/separation activities, including entity creation, corporate governance, and transition services agreements

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enhance MiniMed’s regional legal strategy and program, ensuring compliance and enabling business growth
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in commercial, HR, finance, regulatory, and clinical functions, providing pragmatic legal advice
  • Manage a broad portfolio of contracts, negotiations, and business initiatives, focusing on risk mitigation and ethical conduct
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of legal professionals, aligning with Medtronic’s mission and values
  • Stay abreast of evolving healthcare regulations and ensure adherence to laws, policies, and ethical standards
  • Oversee commercial disputes, investigations, and litigation, managing external counsel for resolution
  • Develop and deliver training programs to promote compliance and ethical understanding
  • Monitor legal risks, develop mitigation strategies, and improve processes and program effectiveness
  • Lead legal workstreams for the Diabetes business separation, including entity creation, corporate governance, TSAs, structuring, contracting, and risk allocation
