Requirements

  • Business-level English proficiency (Vantage), in addition to Japanese
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Conceptual and practical expertise in the field related to logistics control/management as well as knowledge of best practices differentiated in the market
  • Problem solving skills to deal with complex issues, taking a new perspective using existing solutions
  • No supervisory responsibilities but provide informal guidance to other team members

Responsibilities

  • Plan export shipments for internal and external customers overseas, actively engaging with multiple stakeholders to gather and integrate their diverse requirements
  • Acquire METI export permit to support customers in Russia and provide critical updates and communicate status of permit applications to global teams
  • Manage procedures and trainings for Logistics & Distribution (L&D) Associates in Beckman Coulter warehouses in Japan
  • Maintain business relationships with Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics to measure efficiency and improvement of L&D Associates from views of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory and Productivity
  • Improve Freight and Warehousing processes and systems; driving towards “Best-In-Class” operations
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen projects in collaboration with internal & external stakeholders
