Requirements

Business-level English proficiency (Vantage), in addition to Japanese
Bachelor’s degree
Conceptual and practical expertise in the field related to logistics control/management as well as knowledge of best practices differentiated in the market
Problem solving skills to deal with complex issues, taking a new perspective using existing solutions
No supervisory responsibilities but provide informal guidance to other team members

Responsibilities

Plan export shipments for internal and external customers overseas, actively engaging with multiple stakeholders to gather and integrate their diverse requirements
Acquire METI export permit to support customers in Russia and provide critical updates and communicate status of permit applications to global teams
Manage procedures and trainings for Logistics & Distribution (L&D) Associates in Beckman Coulter warehouses in Japan
Maintain business relationships with Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics to measure efficiency and improvement of L&D Associates from views of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory and Productivity
Improve Freight and Warehousing processes and systems; driving towards “Best-In-Class” operations
Lead and participate in Kaizen projects in collaboration with internal & external stakeholders
