Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a technical degree or certification in refrigeration, electrical, or mechanical fields preferred. They must have at least 2+ years of experience in refrigeration and electrical maintenance, particularly in a manufacturing setting, and demonstrate a strong understanding of ammonia refrigeration systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will also be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures, along with possessing excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and teamwork abilities, and familiarity with company policies and procedures.
As an Ammonia and Refrigeration Tech II-Manufacturing, the individual will assist in the repair and maintenance of various equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, and material handling equipment. They will diagnose refrigeration and electrical problems using technical drawings and diagnostic tools, troubleshoot and repair complex ammonia refrigeration system problems, operate refrigeration system equipment, monitor system performance, perform preventive maintenance and repairs, and ensure the safety and compliance of plant operations. Additionally, they will conduct tests, identify faults, apply corrective measures, clean or prevent issues related to hazardous materials, monitor work areas for safety concerns, complete work orders and records, lead and participate in teams, develop and implement processes, and demonstrate compliance with company standards.
