Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a technical degree or certification in refrigeration, electrical, or mechanical fields preferred, and at least two years of experience in refrigeration and electrical maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing environment. A strong understanding of ammonia refrigeration systems and equipment is also required, along with the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures, coupled with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and strong communication and teamwork abilities.
The Ammonia and Refrigeration Tech I-Manufacturing will assist in the repair and maintenance of various equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, and material handling equipment, diagnosing refrigeration and electrical problems using technical drawings and diagnostic tools, troubleshooting and repairing complex ammonia refrigeration system problems, operating refrigeration system equipment, monitoring system performance, performing preventive maintenance and repairs, ensuring the safety and compliance of plant operations, running tests, identifying faults, applying corrective measures, cleaning or preventing issues pertaining to hazardous materials, monitoring work areas for safety concerns, completing work orders and records, leading and participating in teams, developing and implementing processes, demonstrating and supporting company policies and standards of ethics and integrity.
