Requirements

  • 10+ years experience working in a combination of different types of financial institutions and banks, fintechs, broker-dealers or professional services companies (law firms, consultancies), including experience working in a startup environment
  • Deep understanding of AML regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, FinCEN, OFAC and global AML standards gained from prior experience in two or more AML subject matter areas, including: AML Investigations/Financial Investigations Unit/AML Operations, Line of Business Advisory, Business Risk Management, Enhanced Due Diligence, Governance and Reporting
  • Experience assessing and managing the risks of products and services such as FBO accounts, third party senders, non-bank financial institutions, and money transmission use cases including new product development, process and procedure development, and training content to support all lines of defense
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess information presented

Responsibilities

  • Identify and understand the interactions between customers, products, services, and controls to ensure compliance with the Bank's risk appetite and AML Program requirements
  • Coordinate with the AML Compliance team to develop guidance, requirements, and controls that support AML due diligence, suspicious activity monitoring, and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate closely with sales and growth teams to understand our customers and their use of our products and services
  • Support the Customer Due Diligence team by providing AML expertise and insights into customer prospect fund flows
  • Own and operate the Bank's AML customer oversight processes, including governance review of key risk indicators
