Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
High school diploma and attending secondary education to further knowledge of manufacturing processes, or a bachelor's degree in an engineering field
Involvement with process improvement and experience with Additive Manufacturing, heat treat, media blast, and support removal equipment (or similar role), typically 3-5 years
Experience with metal (or other) Additive Manufacturing (AM) processes and equipment such as SLM Solutions, EOS, Arcam EBM, Additive Industries, Velo3D, and Solukon depowdering system (preferred)
Autonomous and logical troubleshooting capabilities under pressure
Strong self-motivation, prioritization, and execution skills in a fast-paced startup environment
Proficient use of a wide variety of hand tools and test equipment
Proficiency in Electrical & Pneumatic systems, software, and CAD software (preferred)
Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment (preferred)
Ability to work frequently in a factory environment (up to 100%+), including walking, kneeling, reaching, climbing, using hands to operate machinery, lifting up to 30 lbs, and wearing safety equipment
Responsibilities
Develop, design, and implement production processes that improve efficiency, reduce costs, while ensuring product quality and safety
Conduct scheduled audits on machine performance and support implementation of robust programs for continuous improvement, including space inspections, audits, and surveillances
Help establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure equipment, processes, and products meet required standards and specifications
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, AM service, and machine shop, to ensure smooth operations and resolve process issues
Help lead process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean and 5S to enhance productivity and sustainability
Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensure training is established for processes and equipment
Undertake additional tasks as needed to meet departmental objectives
