Strong written communication skills for explaining scientific concepts clearly and accurately are essential, as is the ability to critically evaluate technical content and provide constructive feedback. Candidates should be comfortable working independently and adapting to ambiguity, have a personal device supporting Windows 10 or macOS Big Sur 11.0 or later, and possess reliable smartphone access for secure login. Publications in peer-reviewed Earth science or geochemistry journals, teaching or tutoring experience in geosciences, familiarity with geochemical modeling tools, and experience with LLMs or scientific AI applications are considered bonus expertise.
Responsibilities
The AI Tutor, Geochemistry Specialist will review and refine AI-generated responses related to geochemistry and Earth science domains using internal tools. Responsibilities include assessing outputs for technical correctness, geochemical relevance, and clarity in areas like mineral equilibria, isotope geochemistry, and geochemical modeling. The specialist will also curate high-quality datasets for training and fine-tuning AI models in Earth and planetary sciences, identify model blind spots and inconsistencies, and collaborate with AI teams to improve content quality and knowledge alignment.
