Requirements

Candidates should have 2+ years of software engineering experience, including building production-grade full-stack systems. Demonstrated experience building AI-powered product features is required, along with fluency in modern LLM platforms and AI-assisted engineering tools like Cursor or Claude Code. A working knowledge of prompt engineering, retrieval, and orchestration, as well as strong backend fundamentals in languages such as Python, is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The AI Product Engineer will architect and ship new AI-native product experiences from prototypes to scaled production systems. They will build LLM-powered agents that autonomously reason through complex workflows and contribute to the AI product stack, including prompt orchestration, context engineering, evals, embeddings, and retrieval systems. This role involves developing full-stack product surfaces that incorporate AI into user experiences, collaborating with AI platform, infra, and design teams, and staying current with the AI ecosystem to adopt emerging techniques. The engineer will also influence Ramp’s broader AI product strategy and technical vision.
