Familiarity with AI frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex, or equivalent experience with complex software systems and a willingness to learn AI tools is expected. AWS knowledge, particularly managed AI services, is also required. Experience with AI evaluation, observability at scale, and model training/fine-tuning are considered bonuses. Passion and curiosity about AI's potential are highly valued over specific years of experience.
The AI Lead Software Engineer will design and implement LLM-based agentic applications, conduct experiments, establish technical patterns for the team, and mentor other engineers. Responsibilities include designing and implementing AI agents using LLMs, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks, connecting to external systems via MCP, and defining architectural patterns for prompt engineering, agent workflows, and system integration. The role involves building on AWS services like Bedrock, Lambda, and DynamoDB, establishing testing and evaluation strategies for AI systems, and partnering with product teams to gather customer feedback and drive adoption.
