Requirements

Candidates must be within an hour of Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Colorado Springs, or Princeton, IL, and have experience supporting the execution of global manufacturing strategies and deployments. The role requires expertise in manufacturing automation, process digitization, electronic test support, and process standardization, with a focus on implementing standard work and leveraging best practices. Experience leading projects related to automation, EOL testing, and digitization is necessary, as is the ability to lead or support initiatives for manufacturing footprint optimization. A strong understanding of the Allegion Operating System and experience with large capital investment initiatives, including new technology evaluation and business case justification, are essential. The candidate must be able to influence peers and indirect reports and partner with product engineering and management to ensure manufacturability of product designs.

Responsibilities

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will support the execution of the global manufacturing strategy and deployments across all manufacturing locations, focusing on automation, process digitization, electronic test support, and process standardization. Responsibilities include identifying and eliminating process-related obstacles, leading projects that align with the global manufacturing strategy, and supporting initiatives for manufacturing footprint optimization. The engineer will collaborate with various support functions to implement automation, EOL testing, and digitization projects, and lead or support large capital investment initiatives. They will partner with product engineering during the NPD process to ensure manufacturability and support the implementation of automation and EOL testing capabilities across manufacturing sites. Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing manufacturing automation solutions and electronic test platforms that align with the company's transformation plan, and identifying opportunities to reduce labor dependency while increasing workflow flexibility and adaptability.
