Registered Nurse (RN) license
Entry-level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP 1)
Ability to perform physical demands including heavy lifting, moving patients, assisting with ambulation, frequent prolonged standing, bending, and lifting/moving equipment up to 200 lbs. or solutions up to 30 lbs. as high as 5 feet
Completion of CAP requirements to advance

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
Delegate appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff (RNs, LVN/LPNs, Patient Care Technicians)
Participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities
Perform ongoing systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-during-post treatment, document in medical record, adjust treatment plans, and notify appropriate personnel
Assess, collaborate, and document patient/family learning needs; provide initial and ongoing education
Recognize and report patient status variations to health team members
Direct and provide safe, effective patient care for assigned patients across modality-specific treatments
Assess daily patient care needs and collaborate with direct and ancillary staff
Initiate and coordinate communication with FKC, Non-FKC dialysis providers, and contracted facility personnel for continuity of care
Implement, administer, monitor, and document intradialytic transfusions, notifying of adverse reactions
Administer medications as prescribed, documenting justification and effectiveness
Initiate and assist with emergency response measures
Serve as a resource for the health care team and participate in staff training/orientation
Provide specialized nursing care instruction to hospital/facility staff as per contract
Assist in Outpatient facilities as needed
Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor
