Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • Passed a minimum of one Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exam (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Must be within reasonable commuting distance of one of the listed locations (Indianapolis, IN; Woodland Hills, CA; Denver, CO; Wallingford, CT; Atlanta, GA; Louisville, KY; St. Louis, MO; Mason, OH; Norfolk, VA; Richmond, VA; Waukesha, WI) and available to work in-office 1-2 days per week

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the determination of rates
  • Analyze, develop, and validate statistical data
  • Under limited supervision, apply appropriate actuarial analytical tools to data and perform preliminary actuarial and statistical analysis
  • Update actuarial pricing, valuation, and forecasting models as directed
  • Refine and collect appropriate data for actuarial analysis, ensure its reasonableness and accuracy by coordinating within the division
