Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in Accounts Payable or accounting roles with a strong emphasis on cost accounting. A solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and cost allocation practices is required, along with experience using ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and AP automation platforms. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and comfort working remotely with distributed teams across time zones are essential. Bonus points for prior experience in a U.S.-based or global SaaS, tech, or high-growth company, familiarity with international payments and multi-currency AP processes, and the ability to work independently and take ownership.
The Accounts Payable Specialist will review, verify, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate cost classification and allocation, and matching purchase orders, receipts, and invoices. They will apply cost accounting principles to allocate costs in the ERP system, support month-end close processes including accruals and journal entries, and assist with cost variance analysis and AP account reconciliations. Responsibilities also include communicating with global vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments, maintaining accurate vendor records, supporting onboarding, and ensuring adherence to internal controls.
