Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Specialist will review, verify, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate cost classification and allocation, and matching purchase orders, receipts, and invoices. They will apply cost accounting principles to allocate costs in the ERP system, support month-end close processes including accruals and journal entries, and assist with cost variance analysis and AP account reconciliations. Responsibilities also include communicating with global vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments, maintaining accurate vendor records, supporting onboarding, and ensuring adherence to internal controls. Additionally, the specialist will utilize accounting and AP automation tools to streamline workflows, maintain data accuracy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve AP and cost accounting procedures.
