Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at the Accounting Manager level
Public accounting experience required
Proficiency in NetSuite accounting software required; prior system implementation experience strongly preferred
CPA certification highly preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Highly motivated with a “can-do” attitude and commitment to continuous improvement

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation of a new accounting system (NetSuite) and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Serve as a key liaison between accounting, finance, and executive leadership
Perform all aspects of month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Process and account for cash receipts and disbursements
Conduct cost analyses and variance reviews, investigating and reporting irregularities to management
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Prepare and file state and local tax returns; support audits and respond to tax inquiries as needed
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies or unusual items
Support the annual external audit by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests
Stay current on regulatory requirements and accounting best practices
Participate in ad hoc projects, financial analyses, and process improvement initiatives
