BCOM + CA Inter/ICWA Inter/CMA or Degree/Post Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or MBA with specialization in Accounting/Finance (preferred global professional accounting qualification)
3-6 years of experience in General Accounting, with previous responsibility for End-to-End GL and reporting
Clear understanding of all financial modules and chart of accounts
Exposure in US GAAP accounting and adherence to US GAAP/local GAAP
Proficient in English language (both verbal & written)
Strong computer skills – MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
Ability to use reporting systems (e.g., Hyperion HFM/HP) and global ERPs (e.g., Oracle R12/11i or JD Edwards in GL module, preferably Blackline tool)
Good communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships, results-driven, work under pressure, clear and concise writing, present information effectively, adapt to multi-cultural environment

Prepare monthly journal entries (JEs) such as provisions, accruals, amortization, reclass entries; independently book standard and non-standard JEs and decide on account codes
Record and maintain good understanding of supporting documentation for all journal entries
Prepare monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations with strong understanding of all Balance Sheet accounts
Hands-on experience in month-end close activities
Perform trial balance detailed review, analysis, and interpretation of movements; identify glitches/adverse balances and pass reclass JEs
Review monthly Profit & Loss account and Balance Sheet, update commentary for variances
Perform management accounting – review reports, support forecast vs. actual comparisons
Perform analytical review of financial statement numbers
Assist with Internal Audit, SOX Testing documentation, and other projects as assigned
