Comfortable and available to work hybrid in office at 15955 La Cantera Pkwy San Antonio, TX 78256 2-3 days per week (Mondays and Fridays work from home)
Senior level experience analyzing, recording, and/or reviewing complex accounting transactions
Knowledge of US GAAP and ability to ensure compliance and adherence to control environment
Ability to perform complex account reconciliations for completeness, accuracy, and conformance
Experience preparing journal entries, reviewing and analyzing financial results, and preparing/reviewing account reconciliations
Ability to interact with operations, FP&A, and accounting management
Skills in identifying issues, researching and implementing solutions based on materiality
Lead responsibilities including review of staff work, establishing priorities, and mentoring others
Ability to identify and implement improvements to existing processes
Capable of working with limited supervision and self-directed workflow

Responsibilities

Lead general accounting activities: perform/review activities to support Vericast businesses, interpret accounting principles, understand business needs, research processes for new requirements, and communicate with business/other teams
Perform complex account reconciliations and review staff-level work
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and control environment; provide technical research support and prepare projections of accounting data effects
Mentor others in developing roles
Month-end close: analyze, classify, record, and review complex transactions; manage to close calendar; prepare/review/document journal entries; identify/review issues and implement solutions; coordinate with business owners for proper financial statement reflection and cutoff
Financial reporting & analytics: perform analytics on financial statements to identify anomalies; compile/review documentation for quarterly/annual reporting and disclosures; support GAAP and disclosure checklists
Audit support: coordinate internal/external audits with financial/non-financial resources; ensure documentation aligns with financial statement balances
