Responsibilities

  • Complete process steps for processing accounts payable (AP) and receivable (AR) of customers
  • Pull bank statements and match all transactions into the software for bank reconciliations
  • For AP: Process daily invoices from client emails into the system; use Proper tool for Appfolio clients and track sheet for non-tool clients; identify duplicate invoices and escalate to manager; validate vendors are updated in the system
  • For AR: Validate tenant payments are in the system; correctly post payments; identify and correct errors
  • For Bank Recs: Pull bank statements weekly; identify and match client transactions; flag unmatched and stale-dated transactions (90+ days) to General Accountant; ensure correct processing and escalate when necessary
  • Escalate team-related processing issues, questions, inquiries, or blockers to the Senior Accountant
  • Communicate processing needs and interface with Senior Accountant and General Accountants (GAs)
  • Escalate accounting-related questions, inquiries, and blockers impacting processing to the Senior Accountant
