Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience (retail or inventory-based business preferred)
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and standard accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and customer billing
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with cash management reporting
  • Help maintain inventory accounting records and investigate discrepancies
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial data
  • Assist with audit preparation and documentation requests
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
