Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting required
Experience in a large accounting firm and/or corporate industry environment preferred
Strong proficiency in Excel and financial data analysis tools
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when handling large volumes of financial data
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders
Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer skills, including experience with accounting and business software systems

Responsibilities

Support daily and monthly accounting functions to ensure accuracy and timely processing
Prepare general ledger entries, maintain records and files, and gather information for financial statement preparation
Provide accounting support for corporate transactions and internal reporting needs
Analyze assigned areas and present findings to management, explaining account fluctuations and unusual transactions
Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations
Research, analyze, and interpret financial data to answer accounting and business questions
Prepare internal and external financial reports by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger and relevant departments
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and assist with external audit requests
