  • Availability for in-person work on Saturdays from 9:00am-4:00pm (with 50-minute lunch, ~6 standard hours) plus up to 2 flex hours weekly for prep/grading/data entry/feedback/communication
  • Commitment to specific dates based on grade level: For 9th grade - Orientation 2/28/2026, Academy 3/14 to 5/9/2026 (8 sessions); For 10th grade - Orientation 1/24/2026, Academy 1/31 to 5/9/2026 (10 sessions)
  • Ability to attend instructor orientation and scholar orientation as scheduled
  • Location: Must work in-person at UC Law campus, 200 McAllister St, San Francisco, CA 94102

Responsibilities

  • Co-teach four 50-minute lessons to 2 groups of approximately 25-30 scholars alongside instructors
  • Facilitate classroom instruction, teach mini-lessons, organize small group and one-on-one instruction
  • Provide additional scholar support as a coach and facilitator of learning
  • Promote depth of understanding and skill acquisition using original curriculum and student-centered approach
  • Participate in instructional prep periods within the 9:00am-4:00pm schedule
  • Complete flex hours tasks: preparing lessons, grading (note: no formal grading responsibilities mentioned, but flex includes it), entering gradebook data, writing scholar feedback, communicating with staff and scholars
