Requirements

2 years of industrial maintenance or general maintenance mechanic work experience (documented on application or resume)
1 year of leadership experience (documented on application or resume)
Basic computer skills for logging information, processing work orders, and using CMMS
Effective communication skills
Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. frequently
Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, use ladder, operate lift, bend, and stoop
Ability to perform repetitive gripping, pushing, pulling, and frequent overhead work
Ability to work in temperatures from -25°F to over 100°F inside plant and outside

Responsibilities

Assist Supervisor in coordinating daily department responsibilities by communicating instructions effectively to team members
Provide maintenance support with minimal supervision to ensure safe and effective equipment operation
Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment
Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed
Work well without direct supervision and build a strong team
Utilize leadership skills to train and grow new technicians
Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment
Interact effectively with plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals
Minimize downtime due to equipment failure
