Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a University undergraduate business degree (Business, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Economics)
  • Eligible to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada for a 12-month term starting Jan 2026
  • Self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, strong analytical skills, and technical aptitude
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively and collaborate cross-functionally with a variety of different groups (internal & external)
  • High degree of proficiency with Excel, including formulas & functions
  • Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints (fast/responsive)
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines
  • Keen ability to deal with ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Support financial review of all GMCC current and future product programs and model improvements through tracking competitive price moves within vehicle segment, analyzing impact on GM product offerings, and bringing forward recommendations
  • Benchmark proposed go-to-market strategies vs offers from key competitors
  • Keep pace with go-to-market and sales performance and industry trends
  • Develop vehicle Net Sale, including MSRP, dealer net revenue, and DFC
  • Work with Incentive Team to incorporate retail, fleet, and contractual incentives
  • Work with VSM teams to determine sales type mix, trim, and option offerings
  • Work with Product Development Finance group (who consolidates cases), and provide inputs and reporting where necessary
  • Support Residual Value Management team with development of Model Year launch residual estimates
  • Present current and future product financial summaries to leadership
  • Understand product line profitability
  • Partner with marketing teams to develop pricing strategy and make recommendations
  • Support Price File analysts with development of the vehicle price files as required
  • Participate in OpEx, Accelerate, and Stingray projects as required (profit improvement projects)
  • Support cross-functional vehicle profitability review for senior leadership team
  • Drive efficiencies in processes by streamlining, simplifying, and concentrating on valuable activities
  • Support GM Canada Finance and VSM through a variety of ad hoc studies and requests
