Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a college or university working towards an MA/MS or Ph.D. degree in a Social Science (psychology, social psychology, sociology), Cognitive/Behavioral Science, Human-Centered Design or related field (program must include research as a focus) with an expected graduation date of December 2026 – June 2027
  • Prior experience conducting research with experience in early, middle, and end stages of the project (i.e., contribution to or leadership of project development, collection, analysis, and reporting)
  • Advanced skills in qualitative methods such as interviewing, usability studies, and ethnographic observation
  • Proficiency or strong experience with quantitative methods, behavioral analysis, and statistical concepts
  • Meticulous eye for detail, while leading multiple projects simultaneously
  • Curiosity and passion for enabling people from any background to express their creativity
  • Ability to participate in a full-time internship between May-September

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate product-market fit for products in development and to improve existing digital creative apps, iterating through the product development cycle to support product managers, engineers, marketing partners, and designers
  • Identify and explore new opportunities before they make it onto the drawing board, uncovering customer needs and aspirations, refining product/solution definition, and providing critical insights for business strategy
  • Define and drive the most appropriate forms of research to understand current and potential customers
  • Synthesize information from qualitative and quantitative sources, and integrate with in-product data analytics to deliver insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate with web and customer analytics, third-party and syndicated research to provide a robust view of customers
  • Present and evangelize insights to cultivate a highly informed, more effective, and more empathetic product organization (strong visual and verbal communication skills required)
