The candidate must hold an active and current state of Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area, possess a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, demonstrate a high level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment, exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to properly manage confidential information. Additionally, the candidate must be able to supervise students of various ages in different school settings and pass federal and state criminal background checks.
The 1st Grade Teacher will prepare and deliver lesson plans, differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students, maintaining accurate records of student progress, utilizing research-based best practices, managing student behavior in the classroom, creating a positive classroom environment, incorporating technology skills into daily practice, participating in non-instructional activities, collaborating with colleagues, and communicating with families regarding student growth. The teacher will also utilize school-approved curricula, implement school-wide culture expectations, and perform other duties as assigned.
