Candidates should be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, possessing strong knowledge of sputtering processes and thin film deposition techniques, and demonstrating effective communication and teamwork skills along with the ability to follow cleanroom protocols and safety procedures.
The Intern will assist in the operation and maintenance of sputtering equipment, collect and analyze data from sputter deposition processes, support process optimization efforts through data interpretation and statistical analysis, participate in experiments to improve thin film quality and deposition efficiency, collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot process issues, maintain accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results, and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sputtering processes, as well as participate in precious metal cost saving project and present findings and recommendations to the engineering team.
