Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related human services field; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with two years of related work experience; OR
  • Any combination of four years of higher education and relevant work experience; OR
  • Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support; OR
  • Four years of qualifying experience working with individuals with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities
  • Must complete a successful background check including criminal record and driving record
  • Current driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must have reliable transportation to transport clients
  • Physical ability for sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, sitting most of the time with occasional walking or standing

Responsibilities

  • Provide community-based mental health services through assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention implementation
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and stakeholders to craft and execute individualized treatment plans
  • Utilize a strengths-based approach that emphasizes empowerment and skill-building, and incorporate evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Coordinate care effectively with service providers, including primary care physicians and community organizations
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress to ensure compliance with policies
  • Participate in staff development activities and contribute to the organization's quality improvement initiatives
  • Prepare for and facilitate PSR group sessions pertinent to client treatment goals
