Requirements

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
  • General interest in software and digital technologies
  • Basic software development knowledge, preferably in Python
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus)
  • High reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently execute repetitive tasks with precision
  • Critical and analytical thinking with the ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proximity to Freiburg (role is primarily onsite, 80–100%)
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with Jira, Squish, and/or Git
  • Prior exposure to software testing or automation scripting is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support Verification & Validation (V&V) Efforts – Assist with pre-V&V and V&V activities for Stryker Sports Medicine’s Enabling Technologies products, including understanding the software product, executing formal and informal tests, and comparing results to expected outcomes
  • Manual Test Case Development – Support the creation and updating of manual test cases (stretch goal)
  • Automation Support – Contribute to automation efforts by developing scripts for automated testing
  • Team Collaboration – Work closely with internal teams to ensure testing aligns with product requirements and standards
  • Documentation & Reporting – Maintain accurate records of testing activities, results, and observations
  • Continuous Learning – Quickly learn new tools, technologies, and processes relevant to testing and product development
