Requirements

Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
General interest in software and digital technologies
Basic software development knowledge, preferably in Python
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus)
High reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently execute repetitive tasks with precision
Critical and analytical thinking with the ability to learn quickly
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proximity to Freiburg (role is primarily onsite, 80–100%)
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with Jira, Squish, and/or Git
Prior exposure to software testing or automation scripting is a plus

Responsibilities

Support Verification & Validation (V&V) Efforts – Assist with pre-V&V and V&V activities for Stryker Sports Medicine’s Enabling Technologies products, including understanding the software product, executing formal and informal tests, and comparing results to expected outcomes
Manual Test Case Development – Support the creation and updating of manual test cases (stretch goal)
Automation Support – Contribute to automation efforts by developing scripts for automated testing
Team Collaboration – Work closely with internal teams to ensure testing aligns with product requirements and standards
Documentation & Reporting – Maintain accurate records of testing activities, results, and observations
Continuous Learning – Quickly learn new tools, technologies, and processes relevant to testing and product development
