Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 2-5+ years of experience with ERP or SaaS payroll implementations and configuration updates, with Workday Payroll implementation experience being preferred. They should also possess experience in gathering business requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines, along with demonstrated functional experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Financials Management. Strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills are essential, as is advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Minimal travel is required, but willingness to travel on-site when needed is necessary.

Responsibilities

The Workday Payroll Principal Consultant will serve as a Workday Payroll product expert, guiding clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of Workday implementations. Responsibilities include understanding client pain points, prioritizing requirements, and identifying process improvement opportunities by leveraging Workday Payroll functionality. The consultant will architect Workday Payroll solutions, ensuring cohesive work streams and considering cross-functional impacts. They will recommend solutions based on client requirements, budget, and timeframe, guide customers through design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices, and support clients throughout all project phases for a smooth transition from legacy systems. Additionally, the role involves performing multiple tasks under limited direction, keeping clients and project teams informed of progress, and working with the integration team to configure and test integrations between Workday and client payroll/benefits providers.
