Requirements
- High school education or equivalent (college degree or trade/technical program degree a plus)
- Minimum of five years’ experience working on Gamesa G80-G90 model Wind Turbines
- Advanced knowledge of Gamesa G80-G90 model Wind Turbines
- Ability to travel to domestic and international locations for work and/or training for extended periods
- Flexibility to work overtime and rotating shifts
- Previous experience working with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to move and manipulate up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb vertical ladders and work at heights of 300 feet
- Ability to work in indoor/outdoor environments, adverse/extreme weather, dust, pollen, weeds, grasses, and confined spaces
- Ability to be certified and work with medium and high voltage equipment
- Ability to interpret turbine-related schematics
- GWO BST certifications
- NFPA 70E certificate
- Maintain required training certifications and qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to safely travel to the wind farm within 45 minutes in an emergency
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Passport
- Attention to safety regulations for the industry
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly, commissioning, testing, repair, and maintenance on wind turbine generators and related equipment at wind farm
- Conduct and review safety analyses of potential electrical and mechanical hazards in wind turbines, switch room, and O&M building
- Support Root Cause Analyses to determine equipment failure reasons
- Complete required and accurate documentation for corrective and preventive maintenance; maintain records
- Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and/or retrofit low to medium voltage electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic components and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance activities safely and efficiently on wind turbines and associated equipment
- Utilize appropriate safety gear, protective equipment, and energy control/dissipation to ensure safe work
- Conduct safety analysis and review of hazards and energy sources prior to and during work assignments
- Properly maintain tools and equipment used for maintenance assignments
- Maintain required training certifications and qualifications for safe, quality work
- Other responsibilities as assigned
