Requirements

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, specifications and measuring tools - particularly welding symbols
Experience in reading basic 3D CAD drawings
Demonstrate basic understanding of fabrication and use of jigs
Demonstrate good ability in MIG mild steel welding (preferably in heavy engineering)
Relevant experience or qualified to NVQ Level 2
Knowledge of H&S procedures & responsibilities
Previous experience of working in a fast-moving manufacturing/heavy equipment environment would be an advantage
Ability to work within a team
Ability to work in an environment that is fluid with constantly changing priorities

Understand technical plans and have the skills required for working out measurements
Inspect and test cuts and joins, using precision measuring instruments

Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement
