Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, specifications and measuring tools - particularly welding symbols
  • Experience in reading basic 3D CAD drawings
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of fabrication and use of jigs
  • Demonstrate good ability in MIG mild steel welding (preferably in heavy engineering)
  • Relevant experience or qualified to NVQ Level 2
  • Knowledge of H&S procedures & responsibilities
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-moving manufacturing/heavy equipment environment would be an advantage
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Ability to work in an environment that is fluid with constantly changing priorities
