Requirements

  • Associate Degree in welding or have completed a welding apprenticeship
  • Minimum 1 year experience in fabrication and welding. Structural experience and certification preferred
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license
  • OSHA 10 certification (required)
  • Equipment certifications (as required)
  • Competent in manipulating numbers, quantities, shapes, and spaces
  • Able to take precise measurements and calculate necessary dimensions
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Ability to climb, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and make repetitive motions
  • Ability to constantly exert forces up to 50 pounds and frequently exert forces up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work in inside, outside, and adverse environmental conditions with elevated noise levels and physical hazards
  • Demonstrate proficiency through testing
  • Eligible to work in the USA

Responsibilities

  • Read prints, plan work, procedures, and techniques
  • Obtain and move materials, tools, and equipment
  • Operate all equipment needed to complete the job
  • Direct others in conditioning and preparation
  • Observe lockout procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance and assist Maintenance personnel
  • Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 and equipment certifications, as required
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned
  • Provide necessary support to all areas of the mill in a safe manner
