Requirements

  • NJ Department of Environmental Protection licenses: S-3 Wastewater Treatment, T-3 Water Treatment, C-3 Wastewater Collections, W-3 Water Distribution
  • 10 to 15 years’ experience in managing complex water and wastewater treatment facilities including laboratory

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of a water and wastewater utility serving approximately 20,000 customers
  • Coordinate and communicate with operations, client representatives, contractors, and assigned engineering firms
  • Ensure effective system operation and optimization
  • Develop staff
  • Implement and manage an innovative predictive maintenance management program
  • Administer and implement all routine and capital repair and replacement projects
  • Handle emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, all alarm events, etc
  • Work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures
  • Participate in an “on call” rotation for plant coverage outside normal workday hours
  • Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed
