Requirements

NJ Department of Environmental Protection licenses: S-3 Wastewater Treatment, T-3 Water Treatment, C-3 Wastewater Collections, W-3 Water Distribution
10 to 15 years’ experience in managing complex water and wastewater treatment facilities including laboratory

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of a water and wastewater utility serving approximately 20,000 customers
Coordinate and communicate with operations, client representatives, contractors, and assigned engineering firms
Ensure effective system operation and optimization
Develop staff
Implement and manage an innovative predictive maintenance management program
Administer and implement all routine and capital repair and replacement projects
Handle emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, all alarm events, etc
Work in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures
Participate in an “on call” rotation for plant coverage outside normal workday hours
Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed
