Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred)
  • 12-15 years of hands-on experience in wastewater treatment
  • Proven expertise in process design, plant operation, and/or consulting services
  • In-depth understanding of conventional and advanced wastewater treatment technologies
  • Familiarity with modeling software and SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of both US and Mexican safety and environmental standards
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Relevant wastewater operator certifications a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail on multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Excellent verbal presentation skills
  • Excellent written communications skills and ability to document system procedures in an understandable format

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in wastewater treatment process design, optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Develop and review engineering designs, reports, and technical documents
  • Serve as the lead expert on regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal environmental standards
  • Evaluate and recommend advanced treatment technologies, including biological, chemical, and physical processes
  • Support financial development and project planning by offering technical insights and feasibility assessments
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff
  • Engage in client meetings, site visits, and inspections as needed
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, regulators, and senior management
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes
