Requirements

Ability to operate material handling equipment (hand truck, forklift/reach trucks, cherry pickers)
Familiarity with RF scanners, computers, printers, and digital scales
OSHA approved protective footwear
Availability for 2nd shift (Monday - Friday 3pm to 11pm) plus mandatory overtime
Understanding of company policies, procedures, and objectives

Responsibilities

Places safety first, follows all procedures and policies, self-corrects issues or reports to management
Ensures accuracy of all receiving and shipping documents
Picks and verifies item number(s) on Sales Orders by U/M, lot number, bin location, and quantity
Stages sales orders in designated area, packs per standard operating procedures, forwards copies to DTM III
Verifies outbound LTL order shipments are 100% accurate and damage-free, identifies discrepancies and damages
Ensures customer special instructions and shipping requirements are met
Stretch wraps and loads LTL order shipments on carrier trailers, completes Trailer Manifest
Pulls Sales Order and BOL documents from shipments and provides to shipping office timely
Unloads trailers and sea containers per standard procedures, stocks materials
Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or wrapped skids
Posts weights, shipping charges, and affixes postage as necessary
Aids with cycle counts and physical inventories
Performs daily material handling equipment inspection and changes/charges battery
Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area
Performs additional duties as directed
