Requirements

  • Ability to operate turret trucks, fork trucks, order pickers, or other mobile-powered equipment safely as per training and certification
  • Availability for 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 3:00PM-11:00 PM) with regular overtime, including weekends during seasonal and promotional periods
  • Attention to detail for auditing, researching discrepancies, and making accurate inventory adjustments
  • Basic computer skills for keypunching data into WMS (Warehouse Management System)
  • Physical ability to weigh/measure items, cut cartons, scan, and handle merchandise including physical inventories and cycle counts

Responsibilities

  • Sort daily reports and distribute to appropriate inventory personnel
  • Make necessary adjustments to inventory via Inventory Transaction forms with supervisor approval and keypunch into system, including markouts
  • Audit previous day’s purchase orders, research discrepancies, make adjustments with approval, and report errors
  • Check Item Backup Report for credits, research, and resolve by expediting merchandise or making approved adjustments
  • Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts as requested; communicate discrepancies to Buyers, Accounting, etc
  • Review merchandise with expiration dates/date codes/lot control and expedite RTV by notifying Buyer/Returns Processor, adjusting inventory, and moving items
  • Perform scanning functions and adjustments as requested
  • Review new items reports and receipts/staging area to identify and slot new items (weigh/measure, verify data, allocate locations, attach tickets, fill locations, keypunch into WMS)
  • Monitor merchandise velocity reports to determine slotting changes/revamps
  • Remove discontinued merchandise from locations, remove tickets, and notify Returns personnel/Supervisor
  • Complete and submit Daily Activity Worksheet to I.C. Supervisor daily
  • Maintain neat and accurate files of slotting activity
  • Perform other duties as required by Supervisor/Management
