Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of experience in warehouse & delivery procedures
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent telephone and customer service ability
  • Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Problem solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to sit continuously (67%-100% of time)
  • Ability to stand and walk occasionally (1%-33% of time)
  • Ability to lift 1-10 lbs (sedentary) and 11-20 lbs (light) occasionally; 21-50 lbs (medium) occasionally
  • Availability for night schedule: Sunday 4:00pm-1:00am, Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-2:00am, 5-day work week, 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process routine forms, reports, and documents (inbound/outbound documents, discrepancy reports, stock/damage claims, time sheets, requisitions, shipping labels) following standard procedures
  • Communicate with internal and external customers, respond to inquiries, telephone calls, and requests by researching information
  • Collect, track, and input data on operations metrics (shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, service level, associate overtime) to support warehouse performance tracking
  • Schedule receiving appointments with vendors for inbound freight according to warehouse capacities
  • Prepare and update daily Delivery Appointment sheet for receiving department
  • Perform inbound driver check-in and check-out
  • Assign receiving doors for inbound carriers to ensure warehouse readiness
  • Prepare purchase orders for receiving and confirm purchase orders
  • Check returns and credit slips, assemble returned orders for picking slot, investigate picking errors, and find missing products
  • Interact with warehouse personnel to solve selecting and shipping issues
  • Complete outbound paperwork and reports (documents for selecting crew, route loading, drivers, trucks); update master storage report
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
