Requirements

Candidates should be passionate about teaching Data Science and possess programming, statistics, and storytelling skills, with proficiency in the curriculum topics of either the Data Science Career Prep or Data Science Career Track programs taught in Python. Applicants should also be available for biweekly, 30-minute video check-ins with students to support their learning goals and career objectives. Bonus points are awarded for knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) or prior teaching experience.

Responsibilities

The Waitlist Mentor will provide biweekly, 30-minute video check-ins with students to discuss questions, projects, and career advice, utilizing Zoom to support learning and help students achieve their goals, and communicate with students outside of calls as needed to further support their learning and career objectives.
