Springboard is seeking passionate UX Design mentors to join our online, self-paced UX Design Career Track. This role involves providing guidance and support to students through weekly video check-ins and occasional project reviews. Due to current capacity, this is a waitlist position. Applicants will be added to the mentor waitlist and contacted when hiring resumes.

Requirements

  • Passion for Teaching Design: Genuine enthusiasm for sharing design knowledge and skills.
  • UX Design Proficiency: Strong understanding of UX design principles and practices.
  • Relevant Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in UX design.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing UX design work.
  • Zoom Proficiency: Ability to utilize Zoom for video check-ins.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy: Ability to understand and relate to students' challenges and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Weekly Video Check-ins: Conduct weekly 30-minute video check-ins with students to discuss progress, answer questions, and provide feedback.
  • Ongoing Support: Be available outside of scheduled check-ins to review student projects and answer questions as needed.
  • Goal Setting & Career Advice: Assist students in setting learning goals and providing career advice.
  • Feedback Provision: Offer constructive feedback on student projects.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in a community of UX design mentors.

Program Details

  • Format: Completely online, self-paced
  • Curriculum: Students become proficient in UX with the help of a curated online curriculum, an industry design project, and project-based deliverables.
  • Coursework: 350+ hour expert-curated curriculum.
  • Completion Time: On average, students finish in 6-8 months.
  • Student Demographics: Students are working professionals from all over the world, dedicated to switching careers into UX Design.
  • Student Support: Students have a weekly 30-minute video check-in with their mentor to discuss questions, projects, and career advice!
  • Communication: Students communicate with mentors outside of check-ins on an as-needed basis to support learning and career objectives.
