Responsibilities

  • Develops and directs Medtronic research for a product group or service group and/or geographical area to improve current programs and products as well as create ancillary or new products and services
  • Responsible for clinical trial execution including documentation of product trials, analysis, and reporting to prepare documentation required for inclusion in the company's regulatory and legislative product approvals
  • Responsible for the development of clinical protocols to support the product strategy, data collection, and management in compliance with appropriate standard operating procedures, regulatory, and medical standards
  • Plans and manages the identification, collection, and evaluation of new product ideas or strategic product extensions to determine their potential to address customer needs and to achieve goals in revenue growth and market share
  • Leads theoretical and experimental scientific and technological investigations for advancements or new discoveries
  • Oversees area of responsibility, directing the responsibilities of employees (direct and/or indirect reports) to achieve goals
