Requirements

The ideal candidate has scaled high-performing, distributed engineering teams in startup or scale-up environments, has a strong grasp of AI/ML-powered platforms, and can operate at both strategic and tactical levels to unblock teams, drive decisions, and ship high-quality product. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and have at least 10 years of experience in software engineering and leadership roles.

Responsibilities

As VP of Engineering, you will lead and manage a globally distributed engineering organization, fostering alignment, accountability, and inclusive culture; define and execute the technical roadmap in partnership with the Product and Executive teams; architect and scale infrastructure to support AI-native, data-heavy systems and automation tooling; drive engineering excellence across delivery, quality, documentation, and velocity; own hiring, org design, career development, and team performance across engineering; partner with cross-functional leaders to define quarterly priorities and long-term investments; build systems that integrate automation, security, scalability, and reliability as defaults; ensure contractors are effectively managed, scoped, and integrated with full-time teams; provide technical mentorship, unblock ICs and EMs, and dive into architecture when needed; and represent Engineering in executive meetings.
