Requirements

  • Reporting to the SVP, Intercontinental and Gilead Patient Solutions (ICR & GPS)
  • Accountability for expansion of the Japan business and management of the affiliate
  • Ability to set long-term strategy, planning, and execution within Japan, including category analytics, growth and profitability strategies, key partnerships (e.g., government agencies, co-promotion partners)
  • Cross-functional collaboration with broader Gilead Commercial team, Gilead colleagues in Japan, and Kite colleagues
  • Provide strategic direction and management to build a strong team and high-performance culture
  • Ensure achievement of company objectives, profit targets, and success of new product launches (from marketing vision/strategy to implementation)
  • Interface effectively with relevant global divisions to maximize global commercial strategy implementation, lifecycle opportunities, and business development (local or global)
  • Membership on the ICR & GPS Leadership Team
  • Handle legal and fiscal responsibilities as company representative on legal/statutory issues
  • Serve as interface with pharmaceutical companies, patient groups, scientific organizations, customers, suppliers, government authorities, media, and key opinion leaders
  • Ensure compliance with business requirements

  • Interface between the company and external stakeholders (pharmaceutical companies, patient groups, scientific organizations, customers, suppliers, government authorities, media, key opinion leaders)

  • Setting long-term strategy, planning, and execution for Japan business expansion
  • Developing category analytics, growth and profitability strategies
  • Managing key partnerships, including government agencies and co-promotion partners
  • Working cross-functionally across Gilead Commercial team and with Kite in Japan
  • Providing strategic direction to build a strong team and high-performance culture
  • Achieving company objectives, profit targets, and new product launch success (marketing vision, strategy to implementation)
